a brighter future

About Us

Teach London South East is delighted to be working in partnership with Tes Institute to deliver initial teacher training (ITT) through its Department of Education (DFE) accredited programme.

Teach London South East offer a classroom-based training route in partnership with the Tes Institute who have a reputation for innovative online learning materials which offer great flexibility for your learning. Our blended learning programme combines school-based training, online learning sessions, experienced subject specialists as mentors and high quality professional studies training sessions. During your training, you will be treated as a member of staff at the school and will attend staff meetings and development sessions to give you the true teacher experience whilst learning from the outstanding colleagues around you.

You will build up your teaching slowly so you won't be dropped in the deep end. To start with you, you will only observe lesson and then you will start to increase how much teaching you lead.

Your mentor will be central to your development and so we have committed to their training. Their careful support is also complimented by your Pathway Tutor from the TES Institute through their visits each half-term.

The programme provides a blend of online learning and in-school experience which leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and an option to add a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

We offer two ITT Primary Teacher Training Programmes. This includes:

Trainee Testimonies

Being at the heart of the school 4 days a week means you quickly learn the skills and knowledge needed to succeed on the course and puts you on track to become an outstanding teacher. Whilst intense, the speed at which you learn is staggering and the reward you get from the children's response to a great lesson or placement makes it all worth while. The mentors are great and the TLSE team have been quick to respond to any concerns and have been very flexible with their approach. The year has flown by and I can't believe that I am already applying for jobs! Even here you get lots of support to ensure that you land your perfect job, regardless of whether that is within the SOLA network or not.
